Schertz, Texas, March 2, 2021 – Nexus Enterprises, the nation’s leading Independent Clinical Review and Utilization Management organization, today announced the promotion of Rocio Van der Aa from Executive Director, Client Services to Assistant Vice President, Operations. Rocio has served with Nexus since 2019 and brings to the team over 20 years of clinical/healthcare experience.
Prior to joining Nexus, Rocio served in various operational leadership roles including serving with a national Independent Medical Exam (IME) and Peer Review company, a clinical research organization, and the Foundation for Advancing Veterans Health Research within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Rocio’s most recent role as Associate Director of Operations for a national IME large publicly traded corporation spanned across many states of jurisdiction. In this role, Rocio had direct oversight of 12 leadership positions encompassing 7 departments with over 300 team members. Some of her work includes managing operations for compensation and pension disability exam services for veterans, conducting clinical trials in therapeutic areas: CNS, cardiovascular, chronic inflammatory disorders, oncology, and respiratory disorders, and leading quality assurance efforts in relations to oncology and cardiovascular medical devices at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Rocio holds a Master of Science in Biotechnology in Molecular Neuroscience and a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Chemistry.
