NAIRO officially appointed three prominent industry experts to key posts this May. One of the three executives assuming leadership positions on the NAIRO board is Nexus CEO, Ed Bolton.
Mr. Bolton, who previously served as Chair of NAIRO’s Membership and Marketing Committee, will be taking over as Vice President of the Association. Mr. Bolton has been an active member of NAIRO since 2011.
NAIRO’s Press Release highlighted some of the CEO’s accomplishments within the association. “In his prior role as the Marketing and Membership Committee Chair, Mr. Bolton, a retired U.S. Army service member who founded Nexus in 2009, was instrumental in guiding multiple prominent outreach endeavors, including the release of the white paper, “Understanding the Vital Role of Independent Medical Review and Utilization Review Services,” in 2016.
In his first month as Vice President, Mr. Bolton has been an integral contributor to the development of the NAIRO’s most recent publications, “Reviewer Anonymity Remains Threatened as IROs Grapple with Personal Disclosures, and “Safeguards Protect Against Conflict of Interest in the External Review Sphere.”
“I would like to thank my fellow board members. To be nominated Vice President of the Executive Committee by my peers I hold in such high regard is a true honor. I look forward to serving NAIRO and our members for the next two next years as we work to further shape our industry and position NAIRO as the foremost IRO educational resource.” — Ed Bolton, CEO of Nexus
NAIRO also nominated Aja Ogzewalla, Director of Regulatory Compliance at Medical Review Institute of America, as President of the Association and Melody Petrul, Director of Medical Review Services at Farmington Hills, as the Association’s Secretary.
